Owen's Bee Sting

Owen's Bee Sting!
Here is the evidence of the event! Owen has a very low pain tolerance. (which he inherited from his Grandma Jac and Aunt Shonda) Which means when this happened he was literally running around the house screaming "mommy". Oouch! This is the second one this week.
Lucy got hers the day we moved in, on her belly and now Owen, on the back.
Unfortunately we didn't catch the bee responsible, this is just a toy! Hehehehe

Brad hikes Mt. Si

Brad woke up at the crack of dawn this morning! Remember he was up all night waiting for Lucy at the ER, and then had to wake up a 5:30am this morning to conquer Mount Si. My wonderful husband and one of his best friends and a bunch of young men got to hike it. This was a prep hike for the backpack 50 miler they are doing in just a couple of weeks.
These are the pictures I found in the camera (he doesn't know I've posted this)
He told me that Mt. Rainer was so "right there" and impressive, and huge and what a beautiful site.
Here he is my sleep deprived mountaineer...

You can see downtown Seattle from up there.

Lucy's trip to the ER

We had a exciting night last night, spent in the ER. My dear sweet Lucy. We were walking into Target, and you know the doors that open automatically, well Lucy tripped and hit those doors. Something you need to know about Lucy is, when she gets hurt, she hides and wants no one to see her. We took about 30 steps into the target store. And Brad says I need to see your head. To which I found a bloody forehead.
I rush her into the bathroom and I'm dabbing it thinking its not big deal, when I notice a lock of hair attached to some skin, unattached. YUCK! I almost lost it right there in the bathroom. So I run out and tell Brad "She's got to go to the ER" and before he does anything else he says "Calm down Anne, you freak out, she freaks out!" so I had to pull it together.
Anyway. After many hours waiting. The doctor who is checking things out says "I've never seen this before". Her sore is shaped liked a bowl. So they couldn't stitch it up if they wanted. When she fell she somehow scooped a piece of scalp right out. Its right behind her bangs, the doc said she'll have a scare and hopefully all hair will regrow. I think she cried cause she was embarrassed. While waiting I would ask her if her head hurt and she would say " a little". Otherwise she straighten all the magazines in the waiting room and the highlight was we watched the Bee Movie in Spanish.
Poor Brad though had the other four other kids waiting in the parking lot. It was evening and Luke and Savanah fell asleep so he didn't want to wake them, and eventually Owen and Jaeger fell asleep too. So at 12:30am Lucy and I walked out of the ER room and joined our waiting family. Good thing she is a tough girl, it paid off tonight.

We love OREOs

Just for fun...
We like Oreos.
And Brad's picture would be here to, but he's at work right now.
Luke likes them.
Would you eat them with your shirt on backwards?Lucy will. Jaeger eats them while on his head,
Would you eat them with a deere?
I would even eat them like this!
We like to eat them so you see.

Whats been going on....

I found this picture in the camera. Someone wanted to document the dinosaur. It made me laugh when I saw it, looks like it was taken on the side of the bathtub, so they must have been really sneaking this picture. This is our toy dinosaur everybody!
What is summer without a good Popsicle to enjoy outside.

A blissful summer day, eating Popsicles, with a friend, with your little brother tagging along.
Jaeger enjoying his summer. Boy, Brad check out where your suit coat is. Yikes!

Dining room, notice all the light, I lived in a cave at the old apartment, so all this sunshine is wonderful. These pictures are for all my family that live too far away to come over and see the new house. And for those of you who do live close by, come over anytime. Having said that though, I have more room now, so I expect more visitors. hehehehe
When I took the pictures I was still unpacking so excuse the mess. This is the kitchen.
A living room is connected right off the kitchen. Boy, I should have straighten up a bit before posting these, oh well.
This is the same living room only looking another direction. The foyer is threw the left and the garage to the right.
And then the hallway to the bedrooms...

We had to live in a boxed up house for a week. The lady said we could move in on Friday then she called back and said she wanted to repair something in the bathroom and asked if we could delay for a week! So we lived out of boxes for a week. That was interesting.
This is our new living room with the dining room in the distance. Notice all the light I get. I haven't taken pictures of the outside yet so I suppose you'll have to wait in suspense. Stay tuned.
Lucy painted her own finger nails. She did pretty good for a 3 1/2 year old. She loves nail Polish. So I have to hid it, she just discovered the spot, so its time to find another hiding spot.

My mom made Savanah's blessing dress. She is very talented at crocheting. Its so fun to watch mom do it, her hands are so dang fast. Thanks MOM! I love you! Do you like how Savanah stuck her foot out right as I was taking the picture. She wanted to put her stamp on the picture.

This is Savanah in her blessing dress. The Sunday of her blessing I didn't take photos of her cause our church starts so early and then during sacrament meeting she had a blow out and it got all over her dress, so I had to take it off her, so here she is in her wonderful, beautiful homemade or I guess you would call that couture dress! Thanks again Mom!

some rambling thoughts

I thought a lot about this blog and the blog world. I really have mixed emotions about it and I have a different opinion with each mood I'm in. But I've finally decided that this blog is for me, therapeutic really. Being a parent is hard work. Some times I feel like all I do, all day, everyday, is clean up messes or I'm a mediator between siblings. This blog helps me see the fun side.
I was talking to a lady in our ward. Actually she was watching me...I was at a Baptism with all my children, Brad was conducting, and my children were the only ones there that weren't sitting still! True. (And it was a full room)I looked around and all five of mine were wiggling or crying. Savanah was having a melt down, Luke at the same time wanted to run around the room, Lucy didn't even want to sit my us, she sat by her teacher, begging for gum and Owen and Jaeger wanted to crawl around on the floor, the oldest ones. I've been taking Owen and the family to as many baptism as I can before he turns eight so he'll get a feel of what is suppose to happen. So I was there for him. For his own good and he was crawling all over the place. I was really losing it and out numbered.
And that's when I saw this lady watching me. Which makes the whole situation much much worse. so eventually she asked if she could hold Savanah so I could get Luke under control. So she rocked the baby in the back of the room and I was holding Luke in the back of the room. And she said something to me that has really stuck with me. Which wasn't that thought provoking, but still it caught my attention.
Basically a lady told her she had done some errands with her children. She went to the store, post office, and got gas. And it sounded like a normal day of errands, but then she added, let me tell you what really happened during that time and went on to say, someone had a blow out, this kid did that and this happened and it was really hectic.
That's totally my life!
Like I said sometimes I want to pull my hair out and seriously have a two year old temper tantrum!!!
Where am I going with this you say.... I'm not sure I'm just rambling on. My point is its fun to create this blog and see those cute moments you have with your children or post about experiences you had with your family. This blog instantly glorifies my life and everyone elses. I love it. After posting about Jaeger climbing up the tree and onto the roof. It felt better and it sounded better from here.
I gave my third and finial lesson this morning for visiting teaching,(so I've had time to ponder the subject) which was: The Gospel of Jesus Christ teaches the reality of our premortal existence. We belong to a Heavenly Family, me and my children are apart of that. And no matter how crazy I feel or things get... its all good. There is purpose in things. Sometimes I am learning literally through spilled milk. And sometimes thats what it takes. but at times it is down right HARD.
and that is me thoughts. By the way... THANKS Joan W. for helping me during the baptism I really needed it.

A Long distant buddie

Now John and Brad will have to be long distant buddies! I had to capture a picture of Brad and John. We had one more game night with John and Steph before he left for Utah.

Surgery went well

I thought I would let everyone know that surgery went well. I had my veins worked on. I got my veins striped in my right leg, only now a days they just Lazar them. I've heard this procedure is very painful. I haven't had much pain though, thank goodness. I walked out of day surgery, walked home (from the car) and have been walking since I got out. I feel great. I still have to wear my lovely compression stocking for two weeks. JOY!
When I went into my doctor he kept saying to me "Yeah, you have bad veins, your not the worst I've seen, but your almost there" then he say something else and return to "Yeah, your veins are bad" and go on to something else and again return to "You have bad veins". I wanted to tell him "Hey Doc, why do you think I'm here? I know I have bad veins, quit saying it"
All is well! Tonight and from here on out, I only have to wear it during the day! I've been wearing it around the clock for three days, so I'm looking forward to have a stocking free leg tonight. All is well!

Rumor control...

Yes, the rumor is true...We are moving! In seven days, July 10th to be more specific. Wahoo! We will still be in the same school, same church ward, so not to worry!
This will be our 8th move! In the 81/2 years of marriage this will be our 8th move. WOW!
This is not just an ordinary move for us though, it will be a 4bd home with a two car garage and a yard! Hopefully the next move will be in our own home.
