Five paths

This morning my family of seven set out in five different paths. Mom, Luke & Owen together. Jaeger his own way. Lucy to a friends. The ever excited Savanah to hang out with her friend, Dawn. Brad on normal routine, headed to work. Five paths.

That never happens. But am sure as the years progress it will happen more and more. This morning we participated in the year end school celebration, known as, Field Trip!!
Our destination: Point Defiance Zoo.

Let me put the brakes on my story right now to inform you that the rain awoke me at 6am this morning. Sometimes here in the Pacific northwest as it rains hard you pause and listen because your brain is saying "No way that is rain. No way it's raining that hard" But as your eyes are drawn to a window you quickly find out that yes, it is rain and its raining very hard.

Highlights
*Luke was the Best Kid and had so much fun hanging out with Owen and the other big kids.
*We ran into Lucy there on a play date with her friend. It's weird running into your own kid.
*Luke loved the peacocks.
*We did get rained on, but with everyone equipped to handle the weather we couldn't be stopped.
*The water in the Walrus tank was cloudy so you couldn't see him swim towards you until he was right there. It got Luke. He jumped back a foot and wouldn't get close to the window again.
*Owen is such a show off. It was fun observing him in his school habitat. Owen got to see a bald eagle. (He is really into them)
*I am so glad I got to go and spend time with Owen and Luke.
*Owen's classmates always comment that Luke is Owen's clone.
*Owen's eyes are a beautiful green. It embarrasses him when I tell him so.
