Jaeger's Birthday

I found a new thing to do a the baseball games...keeping score. I really like keeping score at Owen's game. You have to pay attention to every play that happens and write it down in a tiny box. But you know what...it's fun. AND I enjoy baseball so it makes me pay attention all that more. Plus, I know every one's name and how many outs, know who is coming up, know the score at all times. I have one pitcher who likes to know how many strike outs he gets in a game (which is usually six). Actually no one can talk to me while doing it. Except Aimee. She is helpful and will tell me plays. Like, that was a 4-3 play. The kids, well, the kids are on their own and run completely wild. (I am shrugging my shoulders)

We celebrated Jaeger's 10th birthday last week.
That's a scratch and sniff shirt, by the way! So cool!
Lucy. She is one great gal. She decorated Jaeger's cake for him. Writing and all.
She did an awesome job!
On Jaeger's walk home from school he always stops by the tennis courts and looks around for lost balls. This is yesterday's loot. SCORE!
Notice his hair. Different from above huh. I have a funny story about that...
Tuesday morning Owen had to be at the school earlier than usual for safety patrol. When I came back. Jaeger had cut his bangs clear up to his forehead. My jaw dropped. It was 8:10am. School starts at 8:30am. And here my boy is with super short bangs. I said to him "Well we'll have to fix it after school." His response was "Mom, I can't go like this. I'll get laughed at!" So we had a hair cutting session that ended at 8:30am. Yes, Jaeger and Luke were late.
But, hey I can put that down in the crazy morning scenarios.

I learned to keep baseball score a few years ago and I completely agree...it's fun! I love how visual it is. The haircutting story is hilarious! Made me laugh!
