My new couches

Well look what came this afternoon! My brand new couches! We are actually waiting on one more love seat that matches this sofa.

here it is again.

Okay so this is the living room set. In the store we thought it was a charcoal black, its really chocolate brown. But I still love it and new coffee tables and side tables.

The kids are so excited. They all ran and sat in "their" spots. Owen and Luke have chosen the same "spot". Were in t rouble.

They are actually here...Christmas in March!

Chores!

I have so many things to get done today, and I absolutely have no desire to do anyone of them!
-My kitchen is a mess, dirty dishes
-pick up toys misc. scattered about my house. Like usual.
-I feed the missionaries tonight, so menu planning
-Clean bathrooms (although have you noticed missionaries never use the bathroom?!)
-not to mention getting Lucy ready for preschool
-pick up french bread and salad from store. Going the store is a bad thing to have on the "to do" list when you don't feel like going.
-have I mentioned laundry? There is always laundry to do and fold.
okay now that I've made my Monday to do list I'd better get started...I'll have to turn on the radio and rock out to my boring chores!

25 Randon things

I've been wanting to do this for a while, but it takes up so much time. I finally cranked it out.
1- I realize now that my bird feeder is out of bird feed, I miss watching the birds. I guess I liked it more than I thought I did.
2-my house is COLD
3-I have really good friends.
4-I have food storage on the brain... studding/researching/buying/pondering/imagining
5-I want to lose 40lbs this year.
6-Can't wait to go camping this summer!
7-I like to have parties/gathering/game nights/celebrations. And am so happy I live in a house that's big enough to host those sort of things.
8-I never thought I would find a ward that I love as much as the ward I grew up in. My ward family is full of amazing talented people. I heart Benson Hill.
9-I am a pop drinker
10-My top 5 parks are: 1:Seahurst 2:Petrovitsky 3:Phillip Arnold 4:Jones, we call it Sea Monster park and I only like it during the salmon spawning months 5: park by the zoo
11-Flowers I like: Bleeding Hearts There is something romantic about them or the name that I love and of course the way the look. Four o'clock. They remind me of Darlene Costanzo, she was my neighbor growing up. Four O'clocks are annuals. I would help her when they would go to seed collecting them and putting them in her shed. She planted the love of gardening in me. I spent a lot of time on her porch talking with her and her husband. Snowball trees although this will have to wait until I have my own house. They remind me of Aunt Ardis. I pronounce her name.. Ann are-dee that's just the way I've always done it. They remind me of her old house in warden. She is like my second mom. So that was one of my childhood homes. (I should blog about memories there sometime) Clovers (St. Patrick day flowers not the spice)-This one is new on my list. They remind me of my mom. I have been eyeing hers. Hers are big and beautiful, the last couple years I've have wanted one. I bought one yesterday.
I generally like all tall cascading flowers like holly hocks, Canterbury bells, fox gloves etc..
Daisy these make it on the all time favorite list.
12-I love waking up to a clean kitchen. Its frustrating that it doesn't stay clean longer!
13-I like to doodle... mainly flowers
14-I LOVE Brad!
15-My new couch come April 18th!!!
16-My favorite stores are 1-Cost Less World Market Place 2-Ikea 3-Joannes or Michaels
17- I read the cub scout book at least twice a day!
18-I am a people watcher
19-someday I want to own a pool table.
20-I miss my Wii. We haven't got the lego out yet! (Sniff-Sniff)
21-It would be fun to Temple hop in Ut. and go to all of these Temples: Logan, Ogden, Bountiful, Salt Lake, South Jordan, Draper, Mt Timpanogos, Provo, Manti
22-I'm planning out my yard and garden. taking notes on what I want to plant and where to plant it
23-My kids are good kids
24-Spiders are scary

sick week

Last week starting on Wednesday I've had sick kids. It has worked its way through all. Started with Owen (who is nEver sick!)he had it for four days. Then Jaeger, who only had it for one day. Luke is working on this third day. Savanah is on her second day and Lucy came down it last night.
Whoa Nelly, are you as tired as I am from reading that!!
Things I've learned this week with sick kids.
1)They are adorable!
2)Cuddling is a must! Even if someone is already on Mom's lap. Last night Luke and Savanah both fell asleep on my lap, at the same time.
3)Your never too sick to get up and watch the garbage man.
4)No matter how little of sleep you got that night, healthy kids still have to get up and get off to school.
5)watching your child sleep never gets old, even if they are 8 .
6)iCarly and Dora are a must see, when your sick according to Luke
7)Soup, sprite, crackers, soup, sprite, sprite, feel forehead, take temperature, kiss, kiss, sprite
8)Mom is exhausted!!!

Savanah turns one

I found this on the camera. It was taken by Owen. I think he has some potential to be a great photographer. I love the picture he takes. I've started another hobby. Its making hair bows. I watched links from youtube to learn, then a bunch of gals came over one night to make them. We didn't know what the heck we were doing, but as we sat and worked the ribbon and shared techniques that worked...we cranked out some cute bows. These black and red ones are my second attempt at it. I have a lot of nieces with March birthdays. These pictures aren't very good. The top red one has dog paw marks on it (hum I wonder which niece likes pets and has a LOT of them? shhh don't tell)

And I found this cute soccor ribbon. The ribbon world is huge! Standing in front of an isle of just ribbon of all colors, prints, dots, strips you get sort of dazed and I love it.

These pink and blue ones are my very first attempt. Unfortunately, Lucy isn't as into them as I would like her to be. She'll wear one for a while then take it out. The black and red ones I made seventeen in one night! I told her they were for certain cousins. I had them all hanging on this ribbon. She said to me "How come they get all those, I need some too!"

A while ago Brad and I went out to a restaurant and I ordered Baja Chicken Tacos. They were so yummy! I kept thinking to myself, I can make this! S0 I did! I recreated Baja Chicken Tacos for my family for Savanah's birthday dinner. They were so delicious.

Here is the Birthday girl, Gonnah. That's how Luke pronounces Savanah. She loved the cake. Most of it made it into her mouth. She didn't make that big of a mess.

Birthday Day Cake.

The boys wrote Happy Birthday Savanah. They did really good. They all had so much fun preparing this yummy cake for Savanah. Jaeger had a REALLY hard time eating a pink cake. I told him Savanah really likes that color so he made an exception, but wouldn't touch any leftovers because of the color.

I am extremely lucky to be surrounded by some really good cooks in my ward. I received the frosting recipe from one of the expert cooks in my ward, Joan. I was nervous to tackle it. But, I will never again purchase a white frosting from the store. Its a keeper.

Our Wii almost turned to Whaaahhh!

This post is dedicated to my two year old who still thinks he and everything he touches is invincible.

Yesterday I was by the TV doing something and Luke was right by me. I saw him put something into the Wii where you'd put the disk.

Flash back with to Saturday. Brad and I are the last to play the Wii. I put the remote on the mantel, long story short and a rough combing through the house....Wii remote nowhere to be found. Bytheway, we only have one remote. And at this point it is still missing.

I couldn't believe what I just saw so I looked down at Luke and found him smiling from ear to ear. So right now, as you can imagine, I am panicking and screamed. Not at him, but like, Awhhh something, some toy just went into the Wii!! So I ask him "what did you put in there?" He says something like Diego broom.

Oh Great!What's that? It was something small because I couldn't see it. And I couldn't get the disk out because it was blocking it. I'm freaking out. And thinking we got this in Dec., we just lost the remote and now the Wii is broken FOREVER! (said just like the kid on Sandlot)

I can't get it out and I just leave it for the husband.

The kids come home from school and a short time later Jaeger comes walking in with the Wii remote. Its a little wet. Jaeger says to me "I found it outside in the flower bed"
AWHHHH....(again)

The more I think and quiz Luke on what the object was, I figure out its a lego guy. Not Diego Broom silly me. My two year old interpretation skills are lacking.

Notice the post title was our Wii almost turned to Whaaaahahhhh.

Brad comes home and ends up shaking it around and the peice must have settled to the bottom of the Wii, and I am happy to relay its working! If you've been holding your breath this whole time, you can exhale.

But now I think its tweaked, because Brad bowled his best score right after he turned it on. Tweaked and all I'll take it.
