More than a month

It's been more than a month since I last posted.
I'm not sure why. My camera is on the verge of breakdown, hanging on by a very thin wire. Literally. I'm scared to use it afraid it will break. Usually posts are connected to pictures. I think that is the link to no-posts.

So what interesting lately?

-I ordered 300 doughnuts for a school function under my name. That is a little weird to think of, but kind of cool to think I bought that many in one order. I guess that can go in my "weird list of things I've done".

1.My Mom and Niece had surgery on the same day.

2.The rain today is powerful today. Falling so hard. Its funny to watch everyone go silent as they hear the rain pour outside, and then run to a window to see it.

3.I need to plant my garden before the Full Moon. My sister swears by it. I have two days to figure what I'm planting and where. Can I just wait until the next full moon? I'm not ready. How is your garden coming along? Really, are we supposed to planting now.?

4.Two weeks ago Brad was out of town. You know my restless travel bug. I packed my kids, skipped a day of school and visited my Cousin and her family. We spent two days and two nights with them. She has awesome kids. I learn something from them every time I leave. Thanks guys. I loved it. Her hubby wasn't feeling all that well and still let us rowdy crew come.

5.Fundraisers. Everyone is fundraising this month. Pictures for baseball. Not a fundraiser, but requires money. Baseball raffle tickets 150 of them. yikes. School cookie dough fundraiser. School class pictures on Tuesday. Another fundraiser to start for school coming up. And the doughnut thing... Holy Cow.

6.Savanah has pink eye. No need to go to the doctor. I have a leftover bottle of eye medicine. And, its working. (That was for you Laura J. who thinks I never take my kids to the doctor)

7.Vacation is in Eight Days!! Pacific Ocean Here We COME!!;) I'm hanging on until then

8. Jaeger gets baptized next month. The monkey will go on record and be accountable for his actions.

General Conference next weekend as well as Easter. Take care everyone.

Extended Family

A couple of week ago we had visitors from the land over the big mountain in the eastern direction. A rarity it is. We frolic knowing blood line family would be in our presence. And more honorably staying in our home. We explored every corner and exhibit at the Pacific Science Center with our visiting relatives (Sean [Brad's older brother], Kim, Jaselynne & Jayda) We walked briefly down to view the fountain. And captured this timeless photo with my sweetheart. Our kids connected with linage family members. Knowing that their blood has the same Redford genetics as their cousins was bonding. Smiles, laughter, and friendship wound webs of lasting memories. Bonding because they are apart of our family, our earthly family. And knowing if we live worthy we can all live together someday with our Heavenly Father...again as a Heavenly Happy Family.

Jaselynne shared her talent and love for jump rope with our family. Their feet jumped a many happy youthful jumps and together chanted childhood songs as they jumped. We love our Rapunzel like cousins with their long beautiful flowing dark hair. I tried not to touch their hair every time they walked by me. Realizing this is an abnormal custom to do in our culture. I didn't want them to think I was "the" weird Aunt who always touched their hair and daydreamed of long braids.

Thanks so much for coming. We had such a good time. We enjoyed your company.

We can't wait until we can hang out with you guys again.

Mid Winter Break

We are on our Mid-Winter break. The sun has come out and played with us all week long. We've been enjoying the outside so much.

Dad didn't have to work on Monday so we hung out all day with him. I got this new purse. Love it. I've been eyeing it for a while. The great thing about it is...it is big enough to hold "diaper bag" stuff. Yay! We ate lunch at a park with a friend. Even though the sun was out, it was cold. We toughed it out anyway. The kids found a jelly thing with eggs in it. Anyone have a idea what kind of eggs? Frog? It was supper cool to find.

Same lunch date they also found the curtest little Salamander. These reptiles are so cute.

I got to do a bike ride with my Cub Scouts on Wed for our Den meeting. Can I tell you how good my cub scouts are. No one complained, no one crashed although Owen and I almost ran into people (I guess we are the dangerous ones) and I think we all had a good time. And most important. We will do it again. Soon.

They spent time with friends (pictured below) Justin, Johnathan, Owen, and Jaeger. These set of brothers are almost the same distance apart. So big brothers are good friends same grade. Little brothers are good friends same grade.

This is the cool fort they have been building over at their house. They even got to spray paint it. One of the cool things about it (as Owen says) it's underground.

And tonight we are having a late night activity with friends. One of our family rules is: We don't have sleep overs. So to supplement that we have late night activities. Their friends come over and get to stay late and have fun. But go home when its time to sleep.

I am going through my pictures finding my favorites to put up on the wall and found some real funny ones of my kids with their friends.

They made me laugh.

I hope they make you laugh too.

Seeing all these summer photos makes me want summer to come.

Tomorrow will be the eighth school day back from Christmas break.

It's going to be a looong wait.

Christmas Programs and Santa

It's that time of year when school puts on Christmas programs. Lucy almost chickened out and it looked like she barely sang. But she did it. And I'm proud of her! This picture is so Lucy.

Can you spot her?

When we walked into the chapel the cross is the first thing my kids noticed. Lucy attends a Lutheran Preschool therefore we met in their chapel. And totally wigged out my kids! In my faith we do not have symbols of the cross up. We celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive and resurrected. We believe Jesus did die on the cross and suffered for every ones sins. We don't display crosses.

They had some beautiful pipes. Brad snuck up on the balcony to take these. Meanwhile I was downstairs with all the kids trying to get cookies and drinks in the crowd which was squishy. He was gone so long I seriously thought he had gone to the car.

Savanah was done by the time we got into the car.

Friday night our ward had our Christmas Dinner Party.

Santa

I over heard Owen ask Santa for a cell phone. And in line he was telling everyone he was also asking for a laptop, iPhone, PSP, and a DS. As I was smirking at the bling bling list my son was rattling off. Brother Young gently leans over to me and says to me in a gentle quiet voice "Now, Sister Redford, you don't want to squash the spirit of Santa."

Luke said he would shake his hand and sit on the bench. And gladly take the candy.
His eyes lit up when Santa walked into the room.

Savanah sat on Santa's lap!! She was good with the whole thing.

So much wear. Given to us by a cousin. They have been such a hit. Just about all of Lucy's friends pick them out and wear them around the house during play dates. I think they feel like twins or something. They are starting to get too small, and time for to be put in the "pass-down" bag. I can't believe I only have two pictures of these dresses!
